Our Story – What makes our tamales go damn good
- Tucson Tamale was founded in 2008 with the goal of re-imagining what a tamale could be.
- Inspired by recipes handed down from Sherry’s mom, Todd transformed this ancient Latin tradition with an eye on healthier and cleaner ingredients.

We only use Organic Non-GMO corn. Our corn has been nixtimalized, an ancient process that makes the corn fully digestible and allows all the nutrients to be bio-available to you.

GLUTEN-FREE – ALLERGEN-FREE
Our tamales are naturally gluten-free. Except for the tamales with cheese or soyrizo, you won’t find any other allergens in our tamales.
100% FIRE-ROASTED HATCH CHILES
The Hatch Valley in New Mexico is to Chiles what Napa is to Grapes. The soil and the climate really do matter. Our Chiles are 100% grown in the Hatch Valley. Our Chiles are 100% fire-roasted. Most Chile roasters use steam and fire. The steam degrades the flavor, but makes them easier to peel. We spend the extra time only using fire to roast the Chiles so the flavor is fully developed.
